Gnome3 is quite stable on Linux Mint. Also, Cinnamon's RAM usage will not go up if you install Gnome. In Ubuntu Gnome, Cinnamon would take up as much RAM as GNOME (1.1GB), while here Cinnamon remains at the 800MB level. It doesn't really matter to be because I have 32GB of RAM on this machine, but I know it matters to some people.
